WCIT 2008: MDeC takes centre stage

THE Multimedia Development Corporation, guardian of the MSC Malaysia initiative, is making a huge splash at the World Congress on Information Technology 2008.

More than 150 MSC Malaysia-status companies are using the international platform to showcase their products and services on the 100,000 sq ft exhibition floor at the Plenary Hall of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Also there are showcases by Pikom Software and Services, organised by the Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry of Malaysia; PC Fair International; and foreign companies.

More than 50,000 visitors are expected to tour the exhibition floor by the time WCIT 2008 closes on Thursday.

Until then, In.Tech will be highlighting the companies on the exhibition floor.

iSentric Sdn Bhd

This company is showing its Mobile Banking Solution Technology, which is an end-to-end product for integrating mobile banking features into an existing banking system.

Currently utilised by AmBank Group and Al Rajhi bank, the system features an easy to use interface, is compatible with a wide range of mobile phones, and is a flexible product that scales with the bank’s needs, according to the company.

iSentric has also developed a Mobility2U solution that allows businesses to use SMS for marketing and advertisement purposes.

Mobility2U, which can be accessed from the Web, allows businesses to send bulk SMSes at 6,000 SMSes per click and at a speed of 14 messages per second.
